UPDATE 20 AUGUST 2022: Unfortunately we have had to make the very tough decision to cancel our fabulous Wild Spark Marquee at the races this year. Dan’s dear Dad passed away so we have made the call to cancel our event for 2022 so we can concentrate on family.

What does this mean? If you have already purchased a ticket you will receive an email and then a full refund.

Are the races still on? Well sort of… the track has been deemed unfit for racing again this year so the horses will race in Mt Isa but all the fun and frivolities of our usually race day will still happen at Camooweal – much the same as last year. Thanks to Bernie and Shoey from Floorworx in Mt Isa there will be Gold Fish Racing on the day – which was a total hit last year. There will still be fashions on the field, the event will go ahead as per usual, just without the horses! It is such an important community event so I hope you can still make it and support the Camooweal Jockey Club.

2023 is going to be bigger and better my friends and we can’t wait to redeem ourselves next year.

How on earth is is nearly time for the Camooweal Races again? Is it just me or is 2022 slipping away before our very eyes? It is really not that long until the races – they will be held on Saturday 27 August 2022 and we will once again be hosting our exclusive Wild Spark Marquee. Tickets to this fabulous and much anticipated event are strictly limited and must be pre-purchased online, so keep reading my friends.

I mean, if you have ever thought about doing an outback road trip then this is your perfect excuse! Load up the car, roll the swag, hook up the caravan or camper trailer and get your backside trackside! It is honestly such a fun weekend. The races are part of the annual Camooweal Drovers Festival which is a weekend packed full of events.

Last year was our very first Marquee event with over 100 people in attendance and this year we are doing it all over again. Tickets are limited so you need to get in quick.
